Georg Genoux

Born 1976 in Hamburg, is a director and curator. He is one of the
co-founders of Theatre.doc and the Joseph Beuys Theatre in Moscow. Since
2003 Georg has staged and produced more than 80 theatre projects in Eastern
Europe, many of them with his company Democracy.doc. He has collaborated
with the Memorial Society in Moscow, the Goethe Institute, Sakharov Centre
Moscow, the National Centre for Contemporary Art (NCCA) in Moscow,
European Commission, The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate in Sofia,
Theatre Replica of Sofia, and more. His projects have been featured at
international festivals in Berlin, Warsaw, London, Hamburg, Basel, St.
Petersburg, Kiev, Riga, Helsinki, Talin, Jerewan, Sofia, Moscow etc. Since 2015
Genoux has been working together with Nataliya Vorozhbyt as the artistic
directors of the “Theatre of Displaced People” in Kiev.
